International inquiries

Important information about the sale of dogs/puppies to countries outside of the United States Of America.

Due to heightened security in the USA, most larger air carriers require that international shipments of live animals go through their designated Animal Shipping Agents- these are private individuals or businesses who are TSA licensed indirect air carriers.  The services of these animal shipping agents are very expensive and the use of them generally doubles the price of what the airlines actually charge for the freight charge.  The amount of money that a buyer outside of the USA can expect to pay for the shipping alone (does not include the shipping crate or health papers for export) will be anywhere from $1000 for a young puppy to up to $2500 for an adult dog.  In the case where there is an airline found that will accept a dog from a private person, the costs are about 1/2- but I have been told that all airlines will eventually require the use of these animal shipping agents.

Due to the difficulties that we have encountered, as well as incidents reported to us by some of our fellow Siberian Husky breeders, we regret that we will no longer be able to allow our dogs to be sent to certain areas of the world.  The reasons being that in certain countries, there seems to be an overly high percentage of reported patterns of behavior which include:

Our export policies as of July 2007.

We do apologize if any of this sounds harsh, but as any breeder who has been dealing with international sales can tell you, it is not only a lot of extra work to arrange everything; there is also lot at stake when sending one of your own out of the country and a lot of trust is being placed in the buyer.  We have had our fair share of very big disappointments in people who we thought we could trust and found out later that we were lied to and utterly deceived.  Due to several bad experiences lately, we have come very close to making it our policy to never sell to anyone outside of the USA.  While we will continue to consider each potential buyer on a case by case basis, we reserve the right to refuse to sell a dog to anyone for any reason.  The well-being of our dogs and our concern for their quality of life is always our first priority.
